Team description

Club Deportivo Fortuna is a football club founded in 1970 based in Leganés, Community of Madrid, Spain. All the club's teams play their home games at the La Fortuna Sports Facility, which has a maximum capacity of 3,000 people. Since its foundation, the club's first team has participated in all existing categories of Madrid football up to the Third Division. Along the way, he has passed through the Regional and Preferential categories of Madrid football in most years. In addition, it has managed to participate in the Third Division (3 seasons), the last one in 2011/12. He currently plays in the First Regional Amateur category of the Community of Madrid. In reference to grassroots football, C.D. Fortuna has had a constant progression since it had formed a club structure that allowed the comprehensive training of the player, from the start of training until its conclusion. The club's philosophy is based on instilling the most important values ​​that sport offers to all players. We believe that education is linked to this sport. Therefore, respect, teamwork, empathy and humility always go ahead of any result or any other sporting aspect. In addition, the club advocates in the sporting context, for passion, enthusiasm and dedication, as our motto affirms. Similarly, CD Fortuna rejects any type of violence and discrimination both at the sporting level and outside of it, showing zero tolerance for this type of problematic situation that, to our regret, continues to occur in some places. PORTUGUESE TEAM IN LA FORTUNA The club has always used the red and green kit since its inception, which hides a very curious story. In its early days, the C.D. Fortuna did not have any kit to start playing their games until the founder of the neighborhood of La Fortuna was interested and left some shirts to the club. They were brought from a Portuguese gentleman and therefore the shirts reflected the colors of the Portuguese flag. For this reason, from the foundation to the present, both the kit and the shield have the colors red and green.
